Inspiring Quotes To Encourage Intentional, Hygge Living

Intentional Hygge living

Living intentionally. I wonder how many of us actually live this way. While I believe that the vast majority of us desire to live a purpose filled life, I can't help but wonder at Katie Sacoman's personal reflection.

As I look back on the past year of my own life, I know that there were far to many times when I got caught up running aimlessly on my own, personal hamster wheel. It's frustrating to deliberate on so much wasted time, effort and energy. But here's the thing. While I could let the discouragement of past failures wreak havoc in my mind and in my heart, I will instead, focus on moving forward.

Failure does not make you a failure

And I want you to know something; failure, does not make you a failure. No matter what it is. At some point, we all fail at something. But know this, you are not defined by your failures. What defines you, is Love.

Follow your dreams.

Intentional living takes practice and work. It doesn't come easy, but it does come with such beautiful results. If this is the year that you purpose to dig deep and carve out time for a life of purpose filled living, may these quotes inspire you to be the very best that you can be.

This quote by Theodore Roosevelt is one of my favorites. It implies that, regardless of what you have, you can start right where you are to make things better. This holds true for your home, your heart, your goals, your everything. When you start though, don't strive for perfection. Strive instead, for beautiful.

Perfect doesn't exist

And strive for simplicity.

Strive for simplicity

Always remember that richness is a state of mind.

Richness is a state of mind.

Having can never replace being.

Having can never replace being.

Nor can you buy atmosphere or a sense of togetherness.

You cannot buy the right atmosphere.....

Hygge is not about perfection. It is about common humanity.

What is home?

Hygge is an intentional practice. It is the culmination of investing in the people around you, the space you inhabit and the stage of life you're in.

Hygge allows us to restore our emptied vessels

A hygge home should look different for each of us.

Home is different for all of us.

And more than anything, a hygge home is where the people you love best are all together.

Home is wherever the people who love you are.

Invest a little time and energy in the people you love, too.

Invest in friendship.

Friendship requires work.

Learn to be present in each and every moment.

Learn to be present in every moment.

Being present may take a little practice.

Be present, even with yourself.

And know this....... you are enough.

You are enough.

Hygge is not about perfection. It cannot be done wrong. Hygge is about your heart, your mind and your home abiding as one.

Abide.

My hope; my prayer for myself and for you, is that this will be a year where we more efficiently embrace hygge into our homes, so that those around us feel the warmth of our hearts.

Make room for love to dwell.

And friends? More than anything else, my wish for you is that Love will dwell in your hearts and spill over into every aspect of your lives. May your hygge home be richly blessed!

Much love!

Melinda

Your most important ministry Beloved, happens within the walls of your home. Homemaking is about so much more than cooking and cleaning and doing the laundry. While it does include those things, homemaking is also about creating a home atmosphere of peace and security. It is about cultivating a place where you and your loved ones can experience grace and forgiveness, and grow in relationship with Jesus.  Holiness & Hygge is really about holy homemaking. Because what better place is there for you and your family to experience and extend, the love of Jesus?
